Day 1: Arrival
Arrival to La Aurora International airport Guatemala City. Meet and greet at the airport.
Transfer to Antigua Guatemala.
Overnight in Antigua Guatemala.
Day 2 – Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast
Walking tour in Antigua Guatemala visiting the main monuments, churches and museums. (For families with children we can organize kids’ activities)
Overnight in Antigua Guatemala.
Día 3 – Antigua Guatemala
Tour to “De la Gente” Cooperative coffee farmers near to Antigua, where you can enjoy the nature and beautiful views of the volcanoes while you drink a taste cup of coffee. Guatemala is one the most famous coffee producers in the world. (for the more adventurous people we can organize a volcano climbing tour instead of this coffee tour: Climbing to the active volcano Pacaya, low difficult).
In the afternoon free time for leisure or shopping.
Overnight in Antigua Guatemala.
Día 4 – Chichicastenango market
Transfer to Chichicastenango for visiting the air open local market of Maya Quiché indigenous village. During the tour you will visit the local church and walking through the village to have direct contact with the local community.
In the afternoon transfer to Lake Atitlán for overnight.
Día 5 – Lake Atitlan
Tour across the lake by boat visiting local artisans, coffee plantations and local markets in the small villages of Santiago Atitlán and San Juan La Laguna. Leisure time for shopping or just relax in the lake shores.
Overnight in Atitlán.
Día 6 – Lake Atitlán – Antigua Guatemala
Leisure time to enjoy by your own your favorite outdoor activity in the lake, kayaking, trekking, or stand-up paddle. In the afternoon transfer to Antigua Guatemala for overnight.
Día 7 – Río Dulce
After take the breakfast, transfer to Río Dulce, the green Caribbean of Guatemala. Tour across the river where you will enjoy exotic and exuberant nature and mangroves with Caribbean vibes.
Overnight in Rio Dulce.
Día 8 – Flores, Petén
Transfer to Flores, Petén the area of the Maya sites in Guatemala. During this day you will visit the island of Flores with colorful houses and with a great view of the Lake Petén Itzá. Relaxing day to get ready for visit the jungle the next day. Overnight in Flores area.
Día 9 – Tikal National Park
Visit to the Tikal National Park, the most important Maya site in Guatemala. Walking tour through the jungle visiting the monuments and Maya temples, enjoying the nature and fauna, you can see monkeys, parrots and many other animals in their natural habitat. The lunch is taking in the park. Then transfer to hotel for overnight.
Día 10 – Yaxhá Archaeological site
This day you will visit the archaeological site of Yaxhá, a Maya site near to a beautiful lagoon. Enjoy the view of the jungle and the lagoon on the top of the Maya temples. In the afternoon leisure time to enjoy the hotel pool, lake or water activities. Overnight in Flores area.
Día 11 – Guatemala City
In the early morning flight to Guatemala City.
City tour in the historic Centre of Guatemala City, visiting the cathedral, national palace, churches and historical museum. Overnight in Guatemala City.
